Medborgarhuset

We have made a metal curtain with a slightly coarser wire in stainless steel for Medborgarhuset on Medborgarplatsen in Stockholm to close the staircase.

The metal curtain is mounted with locking devices and with single clips. With single clips, metal clips and wheels, the metal curtain is draped relatively close to the wall along the installation site. The parking area is about 25% of the length of the metal curtain when it is open and the curtain pushed to the side. For the project, we have also manufactured a strong beam and wide posts on each side of the metal curtain. With the metal mesh´s large open area, you still get an open feeling even when the curtain is closed and locked, which creates a light and airy expression.
